Circular Runways?

I think circular TAXIWAYS made more sense. Thevideo shows just how easy it is to make a wing/engine strike. And in turbulent/windy/freaky conditions, the pilot would have to constantly adjust during the banking turn. I have a hard time in a simulator on a straight runway (and apparently some pilots do too in real life).. what more one that requires you to make a banking turn..

...and just how do you do a crosswind at the moment of touch down? Just imagine a sudden crosswind during touch down and the rudder turn right after that would have to be huuuge to compensate for the xwind + runway bank + runway radius...

It's been a while... but a new computer coming!

It's been a while. Over 2 years in fact. I finally am getting a new computer to run FlightGear! I know it is loooooooooong overdue, but due to circumstances I am not able to get my hands on a computer powerful enough to run FlightGear, instead using my old 2003 computer just barely getting onto the Internet and running basic stuff, let alone run FlightGear after my computer broke.... (see previous posts)

But now, the wait is over! I am getting a new computer, I just ordered it yesterday, and will be shipped to me in about a week! Very pleased with myself about this. It outputs directly to HDMI and all.

Looking forward to running the new version of FlightGear (smoothly, I hope) and logging more flight time! Hopefully, it would be powerful enough to both run FlightGear and then do some video recording of my flights!

Some of the screenshots I am looking forward to seeing on my computer screen..

I have not been doing much virtual flying lately..

Sad to say I've been busy and a lot of things are putting me off from flying - such as not having the time to do so and even if I do have time, my mac does not have enough free space until I get a new hard disk to put stuff in... it is overflowing !!!
